Investment group PURPOSIA Group has acquired a 50% stake in Coral Construction Technologies (Coral), a Czech company specializing in construction automation through 3D concrete printing. Within PURPOSIA, the newly established venture will be overseen by HSF System, one of the Group’s largest construction subsidiaries.
Coral has already launched a high-profile project using its proprietary technology: the construction of the Church of the Holy Trinity in Neratovice, with a design reaching nearly 23 meters into the sky. Thanks to Coral’s innovative 3D concrete printing system, the complex, Gothic-inspired tower will be built in just a few days — saving months of manual work.
“We see the future of construction in automation and robotics — especially for tasks where human labor is increasingly scarce,” said Jan Hasík, Chairman of PURPOSIA Group. “While people remain essential to building projects, automation of structural work brings much-needed efficiency and scalability to the industry.”
Strategic Partnership Backed by Czech Innovation
Coral Construction Technologies is a spin-off from the 3D Concrete Printing (3DCP) division of ICE Industrial Services, co-owned by Tomáš Vránek. ICE is part of the MTX Group, one of the largest industrial holdings in the Czech Republic.
Coral’s 3D printing technology is based on a patented printhead and a revolutionary process using standard transport concrete — as opposed to dry mix, which dominates the market.
The partnership between ICE and HSF System evolved naturally, as the two companies had already collaborated on projects across the MTX Group, including Strojmetal Aluminium Forging, AL INVEST Břidličná, and Povrly Copper Industries. One of their landmark projects was the world’s first 3D-printed restaurant in the Kopřivná ski resort.
“As a company rooted in automation, we lacked direct access to construction markets,” said Tomáš Vránek, 40% owner of ICE Industrial Services and newly appointed CEO of Coral Construction Technologies. “This partnership with HSF System gives our technology a clear path to market — and the Neratovice tower is a perfect example.”
HSF System Brings Execution Power and Vision
HSF System, part of PURPOSIA’s 43-company portfolio, won the Neratovice church contract through a public tender. Although originally focused on industrial and logistics construction, HSF System has expanded into civic architecture, with award-winning projects such as:
- A modern worship and community center in Sedlčany (Czech Building of the Year)
- A primary school in Veleň
- A senior care home in Dačice
- Wellness Hotel Zavadilka, recognized by the Zlín Region for its architectural merit
Twice the Strength: A New Platform for Scalable Construction Innovation
The Coral–HSF System partnership marks a major step forward for both sides. While ICE provides technological expertise and machine production, HSF System delivers deep knowledge of the construction sector and end-to-end execution. Together, they will accelerate real-world applications of 3D concrete printing — from individual structures to large-scale projects.
“HSF System will identify opportunities for automation in construction, and Coral will develop the right technological responses,” said Petr Otava, owner of MTX Group.
The printhead technology, developed by ICE engineers starting in mid-2021, eliminates the need for formwork and reduces concrete consumption by up to 70%. It enables complex shapes and structural elements that would be impractical or impossible to build using traditional methods. Coral’s ambition is to combine maximum functionality with refined aesthetics, setting a new standard for digital construction.
“At global trade shows, we’ve been told there’s nothing quite like our solution,” said Vránek. “Our patents, automation stack, and scalable production potential are unmatched — and the market is just beginning to see what’s possible.”
Global Reach, Local Roots
The technology developed by Czech engineers has already reached international markets. In August, Luxembourg opened its first 3D-printed concrete family home using ICE technology. Additional projects are in motion in the USA, Mexico, Canada, and Costa Rica. In Ukraine, ICE provided modular defense systems shortly after the Russian invasion, and printed bunkers are already in place at Čáslav military airbase.
Other visible projects include 3D-printed bus stops, playgrounds, and public structures in various Czech cities — including the world’s first 3D-printed restaurant.
“By combining Coral’s innovation with HSF System’s delivery power, we’re giving customers the chance to build faster, smarter, and with no compromise on design,” said Tomáš Kosa, CEO of HSF System and Vice Chairman of the PURPOSIA Group.
