A New Destination for Everyday Shopping
Považská Bystrica, 2nd March 2026 – Residents of Považská Bystrica can look forward to more convenient shopping and services brought together under one roof. HSF System SK, part of the international construction group HSF System, has completed the construction of a new retail centre in Považská Bystrica as the main contractor, including full infrastructure and building technologies. The total contract value amounted to EUR 1.89 million excluding VAT. The investor is OC Bpark PB s.r.o.
The new retail premises will enhance local amenities and improve service accessibility for the town and surrounding municipalities. “Our objective was to create a functional and clearly organised space that will serve tenants and visitors effectively over the long term. We focused on a straightforward operational layout and high-quality workmanship capable of withstanding intensive daily use,” says Tomáš Kosa, CEO of the HSF System international construction group.
The development comprises 2,419 sq m of retail space and an additional 790 sq m of paved external areas. The retail centre is designed as a compact structure with a unified structural concept, a shared roof and a consistent façade treatment. The internal layout allows independent operation of individual retail units. The building utilises a prefabricated reinforced concrete frame, while the façade is formed by sandwich panels. Glazed entrances ensure ample daylight and improved customer orientation.
Located within an already established retail zone, the scheme benefits from excellent accessibility and seamless integration with the existing transport and technical infrastructure. It offers customers a clear and practical environment for completing everyday shopping quickly and comfortably. “Our intention was to provide this part of the town with a practical retail centre that genuinely simplifies daily life, while introducing services and retail operators previously unavailable locally. We placed strong emphasis on accessibility, intuitive layout and logical integration into the existing retail area,” adds Ing. Vladimír Baránek, representative of the investor OC Bpark PB s.r.o.
The project also included the construction of access roads, parking spaces and additional paved areas. Deliveries are handled separately to maintain safe and smooth customer movement throughout the site.
