The KVIFF.TV Park phenomenon returns HSF System to build multifunctional space

The international construction group HSF System, part of the PURPOSIA Group investment holding, is once again bringing modular innovation to the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in the Czech Republic. This year again, the multifunctional KVIFF.TV Park space will be built next to the Thermal Hotel. The unique structure, awarded the prestigious Grand Prix Architects Award, symbolizes a modern and environmentally responsible approach to festival infrastructure. The multifunctional space is being delivered by HSF System in cooperation with CUBESPACE and OSTRA GROUP.

The cooperation between HSF System and the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival continues successfully and once again builds on the concept of the so-called “sixth colonnade.” KVIFF.TV Park, whose form resembles a traditional spa colonnade, offers space for discussions with film stars, workshops, music performances and a relaxation zone for visitors.

The modular construction concept confirms that modern construction can be not only efficient but also sustainable and adaptable. “We strive to translate our principles of sustainability and innovation into concrete construction solutions. Modular construction is a great example of how innovative, environmentally friendly and flexible structures can be connected with major cultural events,” says Tomáš Hess, Commercial Director of the international construction group HSF System.

The entire complex is designed as a temporary structure that leaves no permanent trace at the venue after the festival ends. The modular layout enables easy handling and transport without the need to alter the environment on which the structure stands.

Individual modules measure approximately 6 metres in length, 3 metres in width and 2.5 metres in height. Depending on the layout and purpose of the specific container, their weight ranges from 900 kilograms to 4 tonnes. The entire modular structure, which can accommodate up to 1,000 people at a time, reaches overall dimensions of approximately 30 × 18 × 6 metres.

The multifunctional pavilion has become an integral centre of festival activities, including the popular PURPOSIA Party. “It is precisely in the wonderful setting of KVIFF.TV Park that we decided to present a major new development from our investment holding on July 7. We will announce the establishment of another company and our entry into a segment where we have not operated before,” says Jan Hasík, CEO of PURPOSIA Group.

KVIFF.TV Park is not only a functional facility but also a recognized work of art. The modular space was designed by the renowned architectural studio Chybik+Kristof Architects & Urban Designers. In 2023 it received the Grand Prix Architects Award in the Architectural Design category.
